How is this different from Stripe's official MCP server?
Data Connector focuses on importing selected Stripe resources into reusable, permission-controlled tables for read-only analysis alongside your other workspace data. Stripe's official MCP offering has its own tools and setup. This connection does not provide billing actions.
Which Stripe records can I import?
The connection imports customers, charges, subscriptions, invoices, products, prices, balance transactions, payment intents, refunds and payouts. Your restricted key must have read permission for all ten supported resources.
Are these live queries against Stripe?
No. Questions read the last successfully imported tables. Use manual sync to refresh the snapshot. Provider quotas and errors can prevent a refresh; check the connection status before analysis. A refresh can reflect updates to older records; this is not a transactionally consistent accounting snapshot.
Can I use this to calculate MRR?
You can inspect the imported subscription and invoice records, but Data Connector does not provide a certified MRR or accounting report. Agree on dates, currency, trial and discount treatment before using a calculation for a decision.
