GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE MCP CONNECTOR

Analyze Google Search Console with AI.

Which pages gained impressions, and which queries brought clicks? Connect your Google account and ask about the Search Console properties you choose, without importing a report first.

Connect Google Search Console

You need a Loam account and a Google account with access to the exact Search Console properties you want to read. Google OAuth does not require a service-account key.

Connect Google Search Console
  1. Sign in, choose a workspace, and select Google OAuth and direct controls.
  2. Enter the exact properties and authorize the intended Google account.
  3. Connect your MCP client, approve its specific read access, and ask a question.

Your AI reads Google's API for the permitted properties. Each answer should retain the source dates, fetch time and coverage limits. Google reporting can be delayed or incomplete; direct access is not a live website test.

Questions grounded in the data you choose.

Find changes in search

Compare clicks, impressions, CTR and average position for equal finalized periods. Explore page and query breakdowns without treating partial query rows as property totals.

Inspect the source

Read permitted property and sitemap information, or inspect Google's indexed version of a selected URL. URL Inspection does not run a live test or request indexing.

Choose what AI can read

Google authorization, workspace access and your MCP client's property and action permissions are separate. Credentials stay encrypted on the server and are not sent to your AI.

A QUESTION TO START WITH

Compare the same property and reporting periods.

Ask your AI to compare two equal finalized periods and explain the change using property totals, then inspect page and query breakdowns. Check the actual available dates before choosing the comparison.

“Compare clicks and impressions for two equal finalized weeks in this property. Show the exact dates, which pages changed most, and any missing data.”
DIRECT GOOGLE ACCESS

Read by default. Review every change.

The Google OAuth profile reads Search Console directly. It does not require a report import or turn your existing database tools into writers.

Choose the resource

Select the exact Domain or URL-prefix properties. Google access alone does not give every workspace member or AI client access.

Keep provider data at the source

Direct results pass to the client you authorize. Connector keeps credentials and security metadata; explicit saved data belongs to Data or Files.

Understand the limits

Optional sitemap and property changes require additional Google consent, enabled connection permissions and human approval of each exact effect. If controls show Unavailable in this release, changes cannot be sent.

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect Google Search Console?

Sign in to Data Connector and choose a workspace. In Add data, choose Business apps, Google Search Console, then Google OAuth and direct controls. Enter the exact Domain or URL-prefix properties, authorize the intended Google account, and choose the read permissions for your MCP client. You do not need a service-account JSON key for this profile.

Is this a complete export of every search query?

No. Google can omit anonymized queries, limit returned rows and return delayed or partial reporting data. Check the response dates and completeness notes. Do not reconstruct property totals by adding query or page breakdowns.

Does Data Connector keep a copy of these reports?

Direct Google reads return the requested result to your authorized client without saving provider rows or reports in Connector. Connector retains encrypted credentials and connection/security metadata. Saving an import, result or file is a separate action through Data or Files.

Can my AI change sitemaps or properties?

Read-only access is the default. Where provider changes are available, you can separately grant Google write consent, enable specific actions, and approve each exact effect. Supported changes are submitting or removing sitemaps and adding or removing properties from your Google account. An MCP client cannot approve its own request. These actions do not edit your website or request indexing.

Can I still use a service account?

The separate service-account reporting profile remains available for explicit imports into Data-owned tables. Those questions use the last successfully imported snapshot and need manual sync to refresh it. Connecting Google OAuth does not silently replace an existing service-account connection.
